UNI QB hopes experience pays off

Experience is critical for every football team but even more a benefit at quarterback. Ryan Helming enters his third year as the starting signal caller at Northern Iowa and hopes to lead the Panthers back to the national playoffs after a three-year absence.Helming says a key for the Panthers will be limiting mistakes.All-American receiver Mike Furrey is gone but Helming says the offense will still have plenty of game breakers, such as Eddie Berlin.Helming says the goal for this team is clear, make the playoffs.
