Iowa/K-State matchup features two former coaching partners

Iowa and Kansas State open the college football season Saturday in the Eddie Robinson Classic in Kansas City. Kansas State coach Bill Snyder says with two-a-days out of the way the players are glad to have game week here.Snyder will square off against Kirk Ferentz on Saturday. The two spent several seasons together on Hayden Fry’s staff. Snyder was the offensive coordinator and Ferentz was the offensive line coach. He says Ferentz was an integral part of what Iowa did in those years.
