Pro boxing comes to Des Moines

A pro boxing card in Des Moines tonight features several Iowa competitors. Jimmy Crawford from Grinnell is 32-2 and the eighth-ranked super middleweight according to the I-B-F. He’ll box as part of a co-main event. Crawford, though, has been idle for a while.Crawford says his fight schedule should pick up this fall.Crawford says he feels good going into the bout and has been focused and training hard.The feature bout is for the Iowa heavyweight championship between Tye Fields of Des Moines and George Chamberlain of Cedar Rapids.
