ISU to face football legend

Iowa State faces a coaching legend this coming Saturday when U-N-L-V comes to town. John Robinson, U-N-L-V’s leader, is the former U-S-C coach who’s also been in the pro ranks with the Rams.I-S-U Coach Dan McCarney says since the Runnin’ Rebels are opening their season against Iowa State, there’s no game film to review. McCarney is sure Robinson is reviewing Iowa State’s performance last Saturday.Iowa State beat U-N-L-V 24 to zero last year in Las Vegas. McCarney says through the rest of the 1999 season, he saw progressive improvement in Robinson’s team.Some sports publications have predicted U-N-L-V will be the most-improved team in the country.
