Oskaloosa police investigate possible child abuse

September 6, 2000 By admin

Oskaloosa police are investigating what may be a case of child abuse. On Sunday, Oskaloosa police received a cell phone call from someone out for a drive who said he saw a young child being “violently tugged” in another car. Police couldn’t find the car, but responded later when a toddler was admitted to Oskaloosa’s hospital with severe head injuries. The injured child, Frank Charbonneau, Junior, lives with his mother and her boyfriend. Police reportedly have heard from that cell phone caller who is willing to talk about what he saw. The child was flown to a Des Moines hospital for treatment.
