Former student at Mount Saint Clare sues Clinton school

September 11, 2000 By admin

A former student at Mount Saint Clare College in Clinton has filed suit against the school. Alison Merrill, of St. Louis, Missouri, claims she was raped in her dorm room two years ago. She seeks a jury trial and compensation for pain, suffering and loss of educational opportunity. A college spokeswoman says Clinton police investigated the incident involving Merrill and no charges were filed. The alleged attacker was not a student, according to Merrill.
