Dakota Dunes tourney still seeks sponsor

September 13, 2000 By admin

The future of the Dakota Dunes Open golf tournament is in doubt. Chris Varney reports. Computer giant Gateway recently withdrew as the major sponsor of the Dakota Dunes Open. A new sponsor must be secured by Friday. That’s when the P-G-A sets the tournament schedule for 2001. Dakota Dunes officials say a local company has stepped forward, and a deal may be made in the next day or so.
