Des Moines housing inspector accused of getting too personal

September 19, 2000 By admin

A Des Moines housing inspector’s in hot water. 49-year-old housing inspector Joseph Riccio is accused of “inappropriately touching” women who live in Des Moines Public Housing. Police say the “touching” was done in exchange for a “passing” housing inspection. Riccio is charged with four counts of “non-felonious misconduct in office” and three counts of simple assault. If found guilty of all charges, he could be sentenced to over four years in prison — and ordered to pay 43-hundred dollars worth of fines.
