Fire destroys Okoboji business

Authorities are still searching for a cause of a fire last night that heavily damaged a business in Redfield. Redfield Fire Chief Don Scott says there wasn’t much they could do by the time they got to the Okoboji Pallet and Packaging plant.Lisa Tietrich, the company’s vice president, says the blaze destroyed the plant’s main production building.She says they lost all of their equipment, forklifts and everything else. The state fire marshal’s office is on the scene looking for a cause.
