Iowa’s two U-S Senators are weighing in on how they’ll vote on today’s final approval of a bill to grant permanent normal trade relations to China. Republican Senator Chuck Grassley -favors- granting China the trading privileges. Grassley says it will level the playing field with China which has already been exporting products into the U-S.Democrat Senator Tom Harkin issued a statement this morning saying he, too, will vote in -favor- of P-N-T-R for China. The legislation would bring to an end the annual ritual of reviewing China’s trade status and guarantee Chinese goods the same low-tariff access to the U-S market as products from other nations.
