Morningside ready for another rated foe

After opening North Central Conference play with a loss at nationally ranked Northern Colorado, Morningside prepares for another rated foe this week when the Mustangs entertain Nebraska-Omaha. U-N-O won a high scoring affair with Morningside last year and Morningside coach Dave Elliott says this year’s matchup could also see plenty of offense.Elliott says the Mustangs will need to slow down U-N-O’s ground attack that features the option and a power running attack.Elliott says the Morningside defense will need to be assignment sound, because mistakes are turned into points.Morningside is 1-2.
