A 12-year-old Maquoketa girl has been released from the hospital after being badly burned in a spat over a boy. Police say Amanda O’Meara was sprayed with gasoline and set on fire by two other girls during an argument over a boyfriend. Now, prosecutors say they intend to try one of the alleged assailants, 15-year-old Tara Tallman, as an adult on willful injury charges.
