There are a pair of new top ranked teams in the latest Radio Iowa high school football poll. Following a convincing victory over previously top ranked Harlan, Denison-Schleswig moves into the top spot in class 3A this week. The Cyclones fall to seventh. Clear Lake is second, Grinnell, Waverly ShellRock and New Hampton complete the top five. Manning becomes the fourth different school to sit at the top of the class A survey. The Bulldogs take over after previously top ranked Lynnville-Sully lost to Hubbard-Radcliffe. Fredricksburg vaults six spots to second. Guthrie Center, Graettinger and West Central of Maynard round out the top five. the other top ranked teams remain the same. Iowa City High in 4A, Cedar Falls is second then it West Des Moines Dowling, Bettendorf and Cedar Rapids Prairie. Solon heads the 2A poll, Emmetsburg is second followed by Mount Vernon, Sioux Center and Missouri Valley. West Lyon remains top ranked in 1A, Algona Garrigan is second. Aplington-Parkersburg, Southern Cal and Council Bluffs St. Albert complete the top five. and Elk Horn Kimballton is top ranked in eight man, Murray is second Adair Casey third, Sioux Central fourth and Melcher Dallas debuts at number five.
