Spartans are the next challenge for winless Hawkeyes

October 4, 2000 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeyes look for their first victory at home against Michigan State. The Spartans are coming off a lopsided loss at home to Northwestern, but Hawkeye coach Kirk Ferentz expects the Spartans to bounce back with a good effort. He says the Spartans know how to win and can play their way through rough spots. Defense remains a concern in the wake of Saturday’s loss to Indiana. Ferentz says a variety of factors have hurt the defense.
