American Red Cross Chapters throughout the state are conducting HIV/AIDS education efforts as part of “AIDS Awareness Month” activities. Jen Damge leads the effort for the Central Iowa Chapter.she says they target kids of all ages hoping to give them correct information about AIDS and HIV before they learn the wrong information. She says they’re running an education-coloring contest this month.Damge says other chapters have their own events used to educate kids. She says there are some shared programs.Damge says the education efforts this month are a build up toward “World Aids Day” December 1st.
