Republican presidential candidate George W. Bush spoke this morning in Cedar Rapids at a center for troubled youth. Bush said it’s tough to be a parent today in a culture with music that glorifies violence, hateful material on the Internet and illegal drugs. Bush said parents want to know government is on their side to help create a “decent public culture.”Bush left Iowa at mid-day. His running mate, Dick Cheney, is due in Iowa tonight to attend the Waterloo East versus Waterloo West football game. Cheney will walk through the tailgates in Ames before attending the kick-off of the Iowa State/Nebraska game tomorrow.
