Biden Bashes Bush during Iowa stop

A man who ran for president back in 1988 suggests it’s time for democratpresidential candidate Al Gore to stick some tough questions to his rivalGeorge W. Bush in their debate on Wednesday. Delaware Senator Joe Biden(by’-den) says Gore should stay away from the statistics, and talk aboutdemocratic party philosophy. Biden spoke Saturday in Des Moines at the IowaDemocratic Party’s annual fall fundraiser. Biden says Gore needs to pin Bushdown on several of Bush’s proposals, including how he’s promised to protectreligious freedom after declaring “Jesus Day” in Texas. Bush and Gore areto debate October 11th at Wake Forest University.
