The bodies of four people have been found in a wooded area near Mason City, helping resolve a 1993 drug and murder case. Stephen Rapp, the U-S Attorney for the northern district of Iowa, briefed reporters this afternoon. He says they haven’t complete excavating or identifying the bodies. In July, a grand jury indicted Angela Johnson of Klemme for aiding and abetting in the deaths of five people who were to be witnesses in a drug case. Rapp says it’s one of the most bizarre cases he’s dealt with.Rapp expressed condolences to the Duncan family, who he described as innocent victims. Lori Duncan of Mason City, her daughters Amber and Kandi, and her live-in boyfriend Gregory Nicholson vanished in 1993, and their bodies are among those recovered. Johnson, the woman indicted this summer for the seven-year-old crime, is also charged in connection with the death of her former boyfriend, Terry DeGeus. Authorities are using sonar technology and search dogs to locate the fifth body, which they believe is buried near the four which were unearthed today.
