Top teams hold on in RI football rankings

The top ranked teams remain the same in the latest Radio Iowa high school football poll. With two weeks remaining in the season, Iowa city high is still top ranked in class 4A, Cedar Falls is second, West Des Moines Dowling, Davenport Assumption and West Des Moines Valley complete the top five. In class 3A, Denison Schleswig is top ranked, Clear Lake is second; then its Grinnell, Harlan and Boyden Hull Rock Valley. Solon leads in 2A, Emmetsburg is second and rounding out the top five its Mount Vernon Missouri Valley and West Hancock. In 1A, West Lyon remains top rated, Aplington-Parkersburg is second followed by Southern Cal, Council Bluffs St. Albert and West Branch. In A, Manning remains top rated Guthrie Center is second then its West Central of Maynard, Lynnville Sully and West Bend Mallard. it is the final week of the regular season in eight-man. Elk horn Kimballton remains top rated, Murray is second and rounding out the top five its Adair Casey, Sioux central and Aurelia.
