Federal authorities have halted the search for the fifth victim of a series of drug-related murders in 1993. The search is temporarily stopped as F-B-I specialists are needed for another case in the eastern U-S. They started digging last week in a wooded area near Mason City and found four bodies. They’re believed to be Lori Duncan of Mason City, Duncan’s young daughters Amber and Kandi, and Duncan’s live-in boyfriend Gregory Nicholson. A grand jury indicted 36-year-old Angela Johnson, formerly of Mason City, in July. Johnson reportedly was seen by a mystery witness at the scene of the killings. She’s charged with assisting in the slayings. Johnson is also charged with aiding in the death of her former live-in boyfriend, Terry DeGeus, who is still missing. All five people disappeared during a drug investigation in 1993.
