Students and staff at Oelwein High School donated 50 pints of blood Tuesday in a special memorial blood drive.The drive was set up by an Oelwein woman whose husband died in June in a motorcycle wreck. Doctors at University Hospitals in Iowa City gave Dwayne Lohman nearly 100 pints of blood while trying to save his life. Lohman’s widow wanted to try and return some of the gift of life to the U-of-I.
