Iowans have until week’s end to register to vote in the November 7th General Election. Secretary of State Chet Culver says there are all sorts of ways to register.Culver, who is Iowa’s Commissioner of Elections, says you can find voter registration forms in phone books, in County Auditors’ offices or on the Iowa Secretary of State’s web site. Today, October 23rd, is the postmark deadline for voter registration materials. But Culver says you can walk in anytime this week to register at your County Auditors’ office.You can cast an absentee ballot through the mail, vote in satellite balloting stations all around the state, vote early at any county courthouse, or wait ’til November 7th and cast a ballot in your local precinct. As of Friday, about one-point-nine million Iowans had registered to vote. Up to three hundred thousand eligible Iowa voters have not registered yet.County auditors must receive a voter registration form by five p.m. on Saturday, October 28th in order for an Iowan to be eligible to vote.
