Democrat launches attack on George W. Bush’s record with video

October 24, 2000 By admin

Republican presidential candidate George W. Bush campaigned in Iowa Monday, and democrats flew a Clinton administration official to Des Moines to unveil a 10-minute video criticizing Bush’s record as Texas Governor. The video’s being distributed in Iowa and a handful of other states, which are too close to call for either presidential candidate. U-S Housing and Urban Development Secretary Andrew Cuomo says Bush’s record in Texas is a prologue to what he’d do for the country.Governor Tom Vilsack says Bush has ignored the dirt-poor areas along the Texas/Mexico border. Four years ago, Vilsack went to McAllen, Texas, as a volunteer to help build homes for migrant workers. Vilsack says he woke up covered in cockroaches.
