Iowa changes starting quarterback again

October 24, 2000 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeyes return to action Saturday by hosting Wisconsin. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says Kyle McCann will start at quarterback. Freshman Jon Buetjer injured an ankle in Saturday’s loss to Ohio State.Ferentz says he does not think the team has leveled off after the win against Michigan State. He says they’ve been disappointed in the way they’ve played the last two weekends. The offensive line continues to be overmatched. Ferentz says numerous injuries have hurt a unit that he felt would be vastly improved this season.
