Olin man involved in standoff

Authorities in northeast Iowa had a four-hour standoff with a man in Olin yesterday.Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home in Olin after receiving word a gunshot had been fired at a neighboring residence. The standoff with Greg Benischek prompted authorities to evacuate 60 nearby residents. Benischek surrendered four hours after the standoff began.
