With a winning season locked up the Iowa State Cyclones now look ahead to this week’s game at 15th ranked Kansas State. The Cyclones cruised past Missouri 39-20 to clinch their first winning season since 1989.Iowa State coach Dan McCarney says he is happy for the fans but most happy for the players in the program. McCarney says some told him he would be committing professional suicide by taking the ISU job, and the winning season proves them wrong. McCarney says there is still a lot to be accomplished. He says they hope to play themselves into an opportunity to play in a bowl game.Quarterback Sage Rosenfels says the players are happy for their head coach and feel it is a result of his hard work. Rosenfels says you rarely see guys getting in trouble or flunking out of school in McCarney’s program because he’s done things the right way.Rosenfels says it’s a major accomplishment to win six games, but they still have three more games left and they want to do more.
