After launching its first personal computer-based video game a few weeks ago, the Iowa Lottery has announced another first. The scratch-off game going on sale this week is the first in Iowa history to feature scented tickets.Iowa Lottery spokeswoman Mary Neubauer says tickets for the “Easy as Pie” game feature the aroma of pumpkin pie embedded in the edges of the latex area on the front of the tickets. She says the tickets have a light cinnamon smell when scratched.Neubauer says if “Easy as Pie” is well received by Iowans, more food-scented lottery tickets may be in the oven, so to speak. She says there are dozens of scents being considered. The new game tickets cost one-dollar each and offer the chance to win prizes up to 700-dollars.
