Art Expo offers some early holiday shopping

Central Iowans may consider getting some of their holiday shopping out of the way early this weekend at the Two Rivers Art Expo in Des Moines. Tracy Levine, executive director of the Metro Arts Alliance, says the event will draw people from all over the region.Levine says kids can learn a little about art in the Expo workshops and will be instructed in painting in the styles of famous artists.Levine says the Expo features arts and crafts from as low as five dollars and up into several thousand dollars.The Expo is underway today from 9 to 6 and tomorrow from 10 to 4 at the Polk County Convention Complex in downtown Des Moines.
