The semifinal round of the high school football playoffs concludes in the UNI-Dome with action in class 3A and 2A. Tonight in class 3A it is a rematch of the 1998 title game as third ranked Grinnell plays number-four Harlan. Grinnell coach Jim Dunne says with an offense based on speed, he likes their chances in the Dome.In the nightcap, second ranked Clear Lake battles ninth rated Western Dubuque. Clear Lake coach Fred Wieck says his players are happy to have this chance.Led by quarterback Jake Sorenson, the Clear Lake offense has been on a roll.Western Dubuque coach Tom Kilburg is concerned about Clear Lake’s defense.The championship games in Class 4A and A are set for Friday. Hubbard Radcliffe (10-2) will face Manning (12-0) at 10:30 am Friday for the class A chamionship. Bettendorf (11-1) meets West Des Moines Dowling (12-0) Friday at 7:30 pm for the 4A championship.
