There was plenty of excitement in the high school football playoffs in Cedar Falls last night. Second ranked Clear Lake defeated Western Dubuque 35-14 in the Class 3A semifinals in the UNI-Dome. Clear Lake will face Harlan Saturday for the title. Fourth ranked Harlan defeated Grinnell 56-55 in four overtimes to advance to the title game. Harlan blocked an extra point attempt to beat Grinnell. Harlan is seeking a record ninth football title.
