Sioux City man kills himself after shooting at firemen

Sioux City police have still not released the name of a man involved in a shooting and suicide early yesterday. Police Sergeant Lisa Claeys says it began with a routine fire call.The fire department arrived after a call about illegal burning and a man fired shots at them. The man then fled to his house. Sergeant Claeys says the police hostage-negotiating team was called in and entered the home after unsuccessful attempts to talk to the man. He was found dead inside the house from a gunshot wound.Claeys says they are still trying to locate the man’s relatives and have asked the state patrol in other states to help.
