A Cedar Rapids telemarketing company has been purchased by the U-S-A cable network. Access Direct president Thomas Cardella founded the company in 1995 and says he felt it was time to sell.Cardella says the sale won’t have any impact on its 12-hundred employees, as the company’s name will stay the same and he will stay on as its president.Access Direct provides telemarketing services for businesses, utilities, financial service companies and Insurance companies. Cardella says the U-S-A Networks already own several other telemarketing companies.such as The Home Shopping Network, Ticketmaster and several “dot-com” companies. Access Direct has Iowa offices in Cedar Rapids, Ames, Des Moines, Marshalltown, North Liberty. The company also has offices in Jacksonville, Florida and Wilmington, Delaware.
