Iowans are very satisfied with the performance of the State Patrol, according to a survey done by the agency at three major events. Sergeant Robert Hansen says more than 33-hundred people who attended the Iowa State Fair, the Clay County Fair and the Waterloo Cattle Congress responded to the surveyPeople were asked four questions dealing with whether their needs as motorists are being met, the courtesy and integrity of State Troopers, and the current level of traffic enforcement. Sergeant Hansen said the survey results indicate there’s a perceived need for more Troopers. On the four main questions, people were asked to use a five-point rating system, with one being poor and five being excellent. The average answers ranged from 4-point-19 to 4-point-49. Hansen says the Patrol is pleased the survey finds they’re doing a good-to-excellent job. He says there’s always room for improvement and the patrol will continue to strive to treat people with fairness and respect. There are 455 Iowa State Troopers.
