Coca-Cola pulls out of bid for Quaker Oats

The Coca-Cola Company will not pursue a deal to buy out Quaker Oats. Quaker Oats runs the cereal mill in Cedar Rapids, which is the world’s largest. Coke had bid a reported 16-billion dollars for Quaker Oats. Pepsi had recently made a 14-point-8-billion dollar offer.
