Iowa City woman accused in identity scam

An Iowa City woman is accused of stealing the identity of a dead baby to commit crimes.43-year old Ann Devine is accused of using the name of a baby that died in 1959 to set up a bogus bank account at an Iowa City bank. Devine’s boyfriend and daughter allegedly help her use the bogus account to spend 300-thousand dollars on a boat, an r-v and a truck. All three are facing charges of theft, fraud and burglary after authorities located them in Mexico and arrested them when they tried to re-enter the country.
