Central and Northwestern continue on in football playoffs

Central College is at home tomorrow in the quarterfinal round of the division-three football playoffs against St. John’s of Minnesota. These programs have been the models of division three football for the last several years in the Midwest and Central coach Rich Kacmarynski says the similarities don’t end there, they both wear red and white..St. John’s has a high scoring offense but Kacmarynski is confident the Dutch defense will play well.Northwestern College is on the road in the semifinal round of the N-A-I-A football playoffs when the Red Raiders visit top ranked Northwestern Oklahoma State. Red Raider coach Orv Otten says Northwestern of Oklahoma has a 30-game winning streak.Otten says the players are looking forward to the challenge and don’t mind going on the road.
