The harvest is in the bins and snow is on the ground, so now is a good time for Iowa farmers to do a little homework on enhancing their operations. The Iowa Farm Bureau is sponsoring today’s statewide workshop called “Success Strategies for Your Agricultural Business”.Bureau spokesman Aaron Putze says the state’s fiber optics network will link farmers in 29 sites across Iowa with the featured speakers, including four young farmers and several financial experts.Putze says the use of the Iowa Communications Network allows farmers to be close to the workshop, no matter where they live.The workshop is free and runs from 1 p-m until 1:30 and will be repeated at 7 o’clock tonight. There are 29 sites in 23 cities: Akron, Ames, Anamosa, Calmar, Carroll, Cedar Rapids, Clarinda, Creston, Des Moines, Emmetsburg, Garnavillo, Iowa Falls, Johnston, Lewis, Mason City, Muscatine, Osceola, Ottumwa, Paulina, Pella, Sheldon, Waterloo, and West Burlington.
