An event in West Des Moines today is designed to bring Iowa grain growers in direct contact with buyers from the United States’ southern neighbor. The Iowa-Mexico Corn and Soybean Summit is being organized, in part, by Cassandra Donn of the Iowa Corn Promotion Board.She says in addition to about 30 Mexican grain buyers, the summit will be drawing a variety of Iowa growers and elevator representatives to hear from the list of presenters.Donn says it’s important that Iowa farmers get to shake hands and share ideas with the people who are their ultimate clients.The summit is being held today at the University Park Holiday Inn in West Des Moines.
