The Iowa Hawkeyes dominated from start to finish in a 74-42 victory over Northern Iowa Tuesday night. Iowa coach Steve Alford says it took a while for his team to solve the Panther’s zone defense. He says they hadn’t prepared for that type of defense.Alford says it was a great effort by his team on the defensive end.Luke Recker led Iowa with 22-points on seven of 11 from the field. He says he was trying to play an all-around game.Recker says the play of Reggie Evans inside has opened up the perimeter game.U-N-I’s zone defense slowed the game down early but the Panthers could not convert at the offensive end to keep it close. Coach Sam Weaver says they did a lot of things they wanted to, but they didn’t make shots.
