Iowa murder case highlighted in tv program

December 12, 2000 By admin

A network television magazine show highlighted a 22-year-old western Iowa murder case last night. The “60 Minutes” segment focused on what’s called “brain fingerprinting” and the case of 41-year-old Terry Harrington. The Omaha, Nebraska, man is locked up at the Fort Madison, Iowa, prison for the murder of a retired policeman in Council Bluffs in 1978. The new technology may indicate Harrington’s alibi was real and he didn’t commit the killing. He may get a new trial.
