An in-state women’s basketball matchup tomorrow features Iowa visiting Drake. There are plenty of interesting twists to this matchup. First-year Iowa coach Lisa Bluder returns after a successful ten-year run at Drake while first year Bulldog coach Lisa Stone goes against the school she starred for in the early 1980’s. Stone says in the end though, this game is not about the coaches, it’s about the teams.Iowa is 5-4 and Stone says the Hawkeyes have done a good job overcoming their lack of size.Stone says coaching against her alma mater is not a problem, as she now bleeds blue.Bluder admits there will be mixed emotions in her return to the Knapp Center.Bluder says she will have to remember to go to the visitor’s locker room.Bluder says at 5-4 she has been happy with the way the players have adjusted to the new system.
