Drake plays last nonconference game

The Drake Bulldogs play their final non-conference game tomorrow night when they host Western Illinois. Because of final exams and the holiday, this will be the Bulldog’s only game in a 16-day stretch and coach Kurt Kanaskie says they hope to make the most of it.Western Illinois is 0-9 but Kanaskie says the Leathernecks had defending Missouri Valley champion Indiana State down late before letting it slip away.Kanaskie says the Bulldogs want some momentum from this game as they get ready for conference play.
