Don’t let your pets get sick during the holidays

Don’t forget to keep an eye on your pets as you make preparations for your holiday celebration. Iowa State University Veterinarian Gary Osweiler says your dog or cat could get sick in all the holiday excitement.Osweiler says you should resist the temptation to give your pet lots of Christmas goodies as they can make your pet sick.He says too much chocolate can poison your pooch, as it can be poison to dogs who eat too much.Osweiler says if you put your pet in the garage or basement to get them out of the way, make sure there aren’t any chemicals they can get into such as. antifreeze in the garage.Other things such as ice melting pellets can also be dangerous to your pets.
