Another sign of the close of the holidays — tax booklets in your mailbox. Renee Mulvey of the Iowa Department of Revenue and Finance says the Iowa income tax return booklets were mailed last week.One-point-three million Iowans will be filling out the forms, which she says will have very few changes.Iowa Holocaust victims who get checks from German companies which benefited from their forced labor during World War Two will be able to receive those payments, tax free. The new tax booklets also outline the way to file your income tax when you’ve won at gambling.People who win in Iowa but don’t live here still have to file an Iowa income tax return to pay taxes on their gambling winnings.
