The Chambers of Commerce from six of the state’s largest cities have formed an new alliance to lobby the Iowa Legislature. Siouxland Chamber President Debi Durham says they’re looking to strengthen their voice at the Statehouse.Durham says they plan to start simple with five goals that are a pro-growth economic development agenda. She says they eventually plan to take a closer look at other issues, such as taxes, once the group gets more established. Chambers of Commerce from Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Ames and Iowa City have joined Sioux City in the alliance.
