Drake women hit the road

The Drake women’s basketball team opens its first Missouri Valley road trip Friday night at Indiana State. The Bulldogs are 2-1 in the Valley after Sunday’s loss at home to Creighton. Bulldog coach Lisa Stone says while happy with her team’s progress, they need to find a way to get off to better starts.Illness has left the Bulldogs with a nine-player roster but Stone feels confident in what the team can accomplish. She says the team is “small but mighty.”
