Questions surround firing of Emmetsburg police employees

January 11, 2001 By admin

Two Emmetsburg Police Department employees were fired last night, but the reason for the firings remains a mystery. Former police captain Steve Nelson and police secretary Bev Danielson were fired for violating the department’s procedures and policy manual while on probation. The two were originally fired in September and the reason was not made public. The two were reinstated by the Emmetsburg City Council in November and placed on one year of probation. City officials are not saying what led to the latest firing.Brent Palm, KICD, Spencer
