A state investigation has cleared a northeast Iowa care facility in the deaths of two residents. Prairieview Residential Care Facility near Fayette was under scrutiny after the two men died in a two-week span. One man walked away from the center November 21st and allegedly committed suicide, while the other fled the facility December 3rd and died of heart failure brought on by exposure to the cold. An investigation by the State Division of Health Facilities found no basis for claims the men had inadequate supervision.
