One Iowa county has big plans for its birthday today. It was 150-years ago today that Kossuth County was established by the Iowa Legislature. Kossuth County is celebrating its 150th anniversary by raising money to build a statue of Louis Kossuth, the Hungarian patriot and namesake of the county. Kossuth County Engineer Richard Schiek says the statue will be dedicated on the courthouse lawn on July 13th.
