Davenport police officer injured in accident

A Davenport policeman was injured in a wreck early yesterday. A squad car driven by 25-year-old officer Brandon Noonan was blocking traffic so a snowplow could do its job. The squad car’s emergency lights were on, but a car driven by 45-year-old Carol Garriott of LeClaire slammed into it. Garriott wasn’t hurt but faces numerous traffic citations. Noonan was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital. There’s eight thousand dollars damage to the police car.
